The Guardian Theme Song

Good thing Simon Baker has a new show, and it also starts with “The!” The Guardian aired on CBS from 2001-2004, it is still widely syndicated, as inspiration for this post came from watching a re-run just yesterday.

The theme song for The Guardian is entitled “The Empire in My Mind.” It is performed by The Wallflowers, and came from their 2002 album, Red Letter Days. “The Empire in My Mind,” as with all songs from Red Letter Days, is credited to Jakob Dylan, lead singer of The Wallflowers and son of Bob Dylan.

The Guardian theme song lyrics (show edit)

There is trouble in my mind
There is dark, there’s dark and there is light

There is no order, and there is chaos, and there is crime
There is no one home tonight, in the empire of my mind
