Baywatch Theme Song

1989-2001; this series lasted a lifetime

Researching for this one, I learned that the show had a lot of theme song variations.

I don’t know about you, but for me, and, greatly depending on where you are in the world and what channel you watched it in, the theme song is the one with “I’ll be ready…” and had a very good piano solo.

That theme song is entitled “I’m Always Here.” It was performed by Jimi Jamison, the lead singer of the band Survivor.

Other theme songs

The very first theme used for the show is called “Die Moldau” by Bedrich Smetana, a long gone a Czech composer.

Another popular theme song is “Save Me” performed by Peter Cetera, with Bonnie Raitt on guitar and Richard Sterban from The Oak Ridge Boys on background vocals. This theme was used for NBC’s original broadcast.

On DVD, the theme used for the first season is “Strong Enough,” performed by Evan Olson from his album Audio.

Baywatch theme song lyrics (“I’m Always Here” shortened version)

Some people stand in the darkness
Afraid to step into the light
Some people need to help somebody
When the edge of surrender’s in sight

Don’t you worry
Its gonna be alright
‘Cause I’m always ready,
I won’t let you out of my sight

I’ll be ready (I’ll be ready)
Never you fear (no don’t you fear)
I’ll be ready
Forever and always
I’m always here

(Instrumental)

‘Cause I’m always ready
I won’t let you out of my sight!

I’ll be ready (I’ll be ready)
Never you fear (no don’t you fear)
I’ll be ready
Forever and always
I’m always here.

Forever and always
I’m always here

Watch, listen & enjoy the babes
